Yoga and the difference that it makes
A discussion with Ceri Evans about the difference yoga makes to her
I’ve been doing yoga for about 4 years now, every day, for at least 30 minutes a day. I love it, it has changed my life. I wrote about it for Lifelabs here. I’d done yoga on and off for years, but it was Ceri Evans from Turiya yoga who made the difference to me.
I’m a life coach and I get to listen to people’s stories and so often I wish that other people could hear and share what I am priveledged to learn from my clients. I’m a listener and a story teller and so when a friend said, ‘You could do a podcast’, I thought; ‘I could, but I don’t have a ‘thing’ to podcast about’. ‘Maybe that’s your thing’, said my friend, ‘Asking people about their thing’.
So I did because I love to share what people know, and do and have lived through to inspire and connect to other people.
So Ceri was my first podcast guest and she was soooo articulate and interesting. For those of you who aren’t sure what all the fuss about yoga is, listen to Ceri here as she talks about her practice, the leap she took from corporate life to yoga teacher, how yoga isn’t about Instagram poses and is completely about the inner work.
I hope you enjoy it.

I have over 30 years of experience and qualification in various therapeutic and meditation/mindfulness based approaches. I work with change. Some changes we chose, others happen to us. Sometimes we know we want to change but don't know how. Sometimes we don't want to change but external events or people are forcing us to change. The menopause, children leaving home, the end of a relationship or job, becoming a parent, coming out, bereavement are just some of the personal changes I support people with. I also work with people who want to make changes to their life and wider world in response to social issues such as Covid, the climate crisis and racial, sexual and gender inequalities. Times are changing whether we want them to or not and we need to be nimble, agile, curious and open in order to part of the new story emerging. Work with me to get clear on what matters to you, what makes your heart sing and what kind of future you want for yourself and those you love. It is possible to live differently, get in touch to explore how.
